We recently worked with Columbus State Community College to create two Active Learning Classrooms [ACL] in Davidson Hall. ALC is the term used to describe student-centered, technology-rich learning environments in higher education settings. CSCC’s classrooms feature large round tables with room for three students and a mobile teaching station which allows the instructor to select and display table-specific information. The walls are covered with writable marker board paint creating an informal yet open approach for an instructor or students to distribute information around the perimeter of the classrooms.
