Nestled in the heart of Mississippi’s agricultural landscape, the Aaron E. Henry Children’s Clinic honors the legacy of Dr. Aaron E. Henry — a pioneering African American pharmacist, State Representative, and civil rights activist from Clarksdale, MS.

Our team reimagined the 3,400 sq. ft. Children’s Clinic to meet the community’s growing demand for pediatric care. From the welcoming waiting area to the thoughtfully designed exam rooms, every space was carefully curated to create a warm, inviting environment that eases anxiety for both parents and children.

By combining functionality, comfort, and cultural respect, this transformation delivers more than just a healthcare facility — it provides a safe, uplifting space where families feel cared for and connected.

Triad Architects and Maraye Design Studio partnered to redesign media centers across Columbus City Schools’ middle schools. The goal: create flexible, student-centered spaces that spark curiosity and support collaborative learning.

Our team curated adaptable furnishings and integrated layouts that encourage group interaction while still supporting quiet study. The result is a series of fun, engaging environments designed to inspire students, foster creativity, and evolve with the district’s changing needs.

In partnership with V2Architects, Maraye Design Studio contributed to the design of a new Activity Center on the campus of Zanesville, Ohio.

This multi-purpose facility features a full-sized basketball court and an integrated running track, designed to support both athletic programs and community events. With flexible planning and durable finishes, the center provides a dynamic space for recreation, wellness, and engagement for students and the wider community.

In collaboration with Bialosky Cleveland, Maraye Design Studio helped transform the Glenville Library into a welcoming, flexible community hub that reflects the neighborhood’s rich culture and energy.

The redesign introduces modern furnishings, technology-ready study areas, and comfortable seating zones that support both collaboration and independent learning. With an emphasis on accessibility, durability, and community engagement, the Glenville Library now stands as a vibrant resource for education, connection, and growth in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood. The John Glenn High School Library was reimagined as a flexible, student-centered learning hub designed to support today’s diverse learning styles. The transformation incorporates collaborative group seating, modern furnishings, and comfortable study zones, creating an environment that is both functional and inspiring.

With an emphasis on adaptability, accessibility, and community engagement, the new library has become a welcoming hub where students can study, connect, and grow — fostering both academic achievement and social interaction.

In collaboration with SHP, Maraye Design Studio contributed to the reimagining of the African American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC) at the University of Cincinnati — a dynamic space dedicated to celebrating culture, fostering connection, and supporting student success.

The refreshed design introduces vibrant, culturally inspired interiors that promote inclusivity, empowerment, and belonging. Flexible seating, technology-integrated study zones, and inviting lounge areas create an environment that supports collaboration, mentorship, and reflection.

With a focus on identity, accessibility, and academic engagement, the new AARCC stands as a beacon of cultural pride and community — honoring heritage while inspiring future generations of leaders at the University of Cincinnati.

In partnership with SPGB Architects and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Maraye Design Studio contributed to the design of the new Jesse Owens State Park Cabins — a serene retreat celebrating Ohio’s natural beauty and the legacy of a legendary athlete.

The cabin interiors balance rustic comfort with modern amenities, featuring durable finishes, warm textures, and nature-inspired palettes that connect visitors to the surrounding landscape. Flexible layouts accommodate families and groups, promoting relaxation and recreation.

Rooted in simplicity and sustainability, the cabins offer a welcoming home-away-from-home experience for guests seeking reflection, adventure, and connection to nature.

Maraye Design Studio collaborated with V2Architects on the redesign of the Cumberland Fire Department, creating a functional, high-performance environment that supports both daily operations and community engagement.

The updated design integrates durable, easy-to-maintain materials and efficient layouts tailored for first responders — including flexible training areas, comfortable dayroom spaces, and improved locker and gear storage.

Blending form and function, the revitalized facility enhances readiness, safety, and morale while reflecting the department’s commitment to service and community pride.

Maraye Design Studio partnered with V2Architects on the U.S. Army Latrine Renovation project to modernize essential facilities and improve comfort, hygiene, and efficiency for service members.

The renovation focused on durability, accessibility, and ease of maintenance — introducing upgraded fixtures, resilient finishes, and improved ventilation to meet the rigorous demands of military use.

By combining practicality with thoughtful design, the project enhances everyday functionality and reinforces the Army’s mission to provide quality, well-maintained environments for those who serve.

Maraye Design Studio partnered with Impact Community Action to create a dedicated Peace Corner for children whose parents and caregivers are receiving services.

The design introduces distinct zones tailored to children’s needs: a creative play area to spark imagination, a reading nook to encourage literacy, and a lounge space for rest and comfort. Together, these elements provide a safe, welcoming environment that allows children to feel engaged and supported while their families access critical community resources.
